On November 7, 2020, Allin won the AEW TNT Championship at Full Gear by defeating Cody Rhodes. Rhodes and Allin would afterwards unite in a feud with Team Taz. On the November 18, 2020 episode of Dynamite, Will Hobbs turned heel after assisting Taz, Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in attacking both Allin and Rhodes. In start of 2020, All Elite Wrestling signed Japanese Wrestler, Hikaru Shida. While she has had an extensive career in her home country of Japan, the fans in America are just now, starting to stand up and take notice. Currently 32 years of age, Shida actively fights as a singles wrestler and in tag team events.
They wanted to show a U.S. cable TV audience that women could hit as hard as men—if not harder—and the level of force on the blows really added an additional element to a dramatic and well put together main event title match. “At the time of the launch, the women’s division of AEW relied heavily on Japanese female pro wrestlers, and that was one of the selling points of the division. Nowadays, being a Japanese female pro wrestler is not as much of an advantage as it used to be. Nick names have long been a part of the pro-wrestling scene. Kayfabe meant that the wrestlers arena identity had to be kept separate from real life.

On August 5, Shida made her debut for Oz Academy, losing to Aja Kong. The following day, Shida became the longest reigning ICE×60 Champion in history by surpassing Fujimoto’s previous record of 238 days. Shida’s and Fujimoto’s second successful defense of the Reina World Tag Team Championship took place back in Reina X World on August 26, when they defeated Crazy Star and Silueta. Three days later, Shida made her fifth successful defense of the ICE×60 Championship against Neko Nitta. On September 23 at Ribbon no Kishitachi 2012, Shida lost the ICE×60 Championship to freelancer Mio Shirai in her sixth defense, ending her record-setting reign at 273 days.
